Tuesday Tags #54 (the park)
By Evil-E | July 22, 2008
Me and Renee were in our favorite park back in May walking around like we enjoy doing. We were looking at a little waterfall when all of the sudden this little number caught my eye. It was carved into the railing next to the walkway.

maybe it says something about “Sandy?”…..maybe I see the words “4 luck?”….I have no idea, but it was carved into the wood and it does meet my strict guidelines for what I think a tag can be.
It is always fun finding tags in weird places. Thanks for not damaging the woodwork around here.

Place Your Order…in order
By Evil-E | July 21, 2008
I liked the way last week’s question went, so I will do it again. This week’s question will need some set up.
.
You are hanging around with a bunch of friends or family members. All of the people have different tastes in dining. You ask “where are we going to eat tonight?” Everybody blurts out something different and your answer is different than all the rest. It is your turn to choose the place. So where are you going since it is your choice? Rank them for me please.
1. McDonald’s (fast food in general)
2. TGIFriday’s (any others like it)
3. The best Chinese place in town
4. A medium range steak house
5. Mexican (not fast food style)
6. To a local pizza place (not a chain)
.
As always, I got firsts…..
4. Steak House
5. Mexican
3. Chinese
6. Local pizza joint
2. TGIFriday’s
1. McDonald’s (maybe only if I was starving to death–maybe)
It is always fun asking the Monday night question. Thanks for not shouting out all at once.

Saturday Scavenger Shots #43 (refreshed)
By Evil-E | July 19, 2008
One of the original players hit us with this week’s word. Tara chose “refreshed” probably because she had just come back from vacation. Speaking of refreshed, my rechargable battery supply needs to be refreshed. Damn things can’t hold a charge anymore. So for the word refreshed I will have use some tired, old photos. Unfortunately I am using what I got in my supply this week.

These ducks are probably refreshed while they hang out in the cool water.
My friends’ kids are probably refreshed in the little wading pool.
Drinks and refreshments are being served.
It is always fun reminding myself that the photo stock pile needs to be refreshed. Thanks for viewing my summer reruns.

Going Commercial Tonight….
By Evil-E | July 17, 2008
I have not done anything on commercials lately so tonight here goes. I have noticed a few things on TV and radio and I would like to share my findings. Please, as always, chime in if you can.
I know here in Cleveland, we have a lot of car dealer screamers. Both on TV and on the radio the car dealers seem to yell a lot. We have the Fred Martin Car Guys and Nissan of North Olmsted guy just to name a couple. My thought is this: why would I want to go someplace to buy a car when I know I am going to yelled at? When I was in the market back in January I chose a quiet dealership, one that did not yell at me on TV. If I had walked into a place and they started yelling at me I probably would have thrown a brick at them or assaulted them with my tire iron. Screaming does not sell cars, does it?
What is another word for strong, durable, cutting-edge, space-age polymers? How about plastic. Did you need all those words to fill the 30 second spot selling your crappy, PLASTIC product?
The Creepy Burger King is still creepy and now there is a Creepy Burger King Kid….yikes.
I noticed something rather funny. Male baldness cures and female hygiene products both do the same thing for their respective sexes. In the commercials for both types of products I have noticed that the people in the ads have the new found abilities to swim and play tennis. As if they could not do this before. My question is this: did they lack this ability prior to purchase or is this something that is a result of the given products?
Cash for your unwanted valuables…..I love this (Alien has posted on this as well) Just send us the stuff and we send you cash…guaranteed!!! No really, we will, we promise. Swear on a stack of bibles.
Rosanne Barr has now joined Alan Thicke in doing spots for Tahiti Village in Las Vegas. Boy these celebrities are really making me think I want to move out there now. Who next, David Faustino? If so, sign me up baby!!
It is fun dusting off a topic I have not done in a while. Thanks for stopping by my space aged, 21st century style, electronic journal that focuses on occasional fecal minutia.

Taggers, Have at it!
By Evil-E | July 16, 2008
I know it is Wednesday but I just found something this evening. Something that I was going to use for a Tuesday post. I figured since I am booked solid with graffiti shots that I would share something the city of Cleveland produced. My folks got this at a meeting they attended hosted by their councilman. It is the Cleveland Community Ordinances & Resources handbook. It features home owners’ laws, phone numbers, and other stuff that you would find in such a booklet. I have my folks trained apparently because they saved it for me.

So taggers, start spraying. What this booklet does not tell you is that Cleveland cops are far too busy to deal with nickel and dime stuff like graffiti. Their undermanned force has to deal with the murder of the day club, drugs, and other “big” city issues.
Because it is Wednesday, I will still do a Musical Midweek post. I figure since the tagging theme has spilled over to Wednesday anyway, why not share a song (well, the lyrics) dedicated to graffiti as well. These are the lyrics to Black Flag’s 1981 song “Spray Paint the Walls” of the Damaged album.

it feels good
to say what i want
it feels good
to knock things down
it feels good
to see the disgust on their eyes
it feels good
and im gonna go wild
spray paint the walls
i dont want
to see the plan succeed
there wont be room
for people like me
my life is their disease
it feels good
and im gonna spray paint the walls
it feels good
to say what i want
it feels good
to knock things down
it feels good
to see the disgust in their eyes
it feels good
and im gonna go wild
spray paint the walls
it feels good
and im gonna go wild
.
I can keep going for a bit….
.
The best video game featuring tagging is Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. You finish the hundred tags and you get weapons in your kitchen.
.
The movie that would fit this post is Turk 182.
.
It is fun doing Tuesday stuff on a Wednesday. Thanks for taking part in my stupidity.

Tuesday Tags #53 (last of the April spree)
By Evil-E | July 15, 2008
This will be the last of the April Tag shopping spree me and Renee went on. I debated whether to use this one or not. I am not oohed and aahed by this one, but maybe someone else will like it. It is on the side of a bridge and accessible from a shopping center parking lot.

It is mostly red tags and it looks like baby’s first attempts. We all can see “slave” and “BIHO” in there. I think these are related to last week’s collection.
It’s a blast doing the tags. Thanks for looking at the art as always. I have a few different ones coming in the next couple of weeks and then the major league stuff follows.

May I Ask? Monday
By Evil-E | July 14, 2008
Since I do a question every Monday, why not just make it a feature and give it one of my cute little names. From now on the question posts are “May I Ask? Monday”. Without further ado, lets get to the question tonight.
.
This one will be a little different than the usual question. I will ask a simple question and give a few answers. You put them in order from favorite to least favorite. Seems easy right? The question is:
What is your favorite summertime activity?
1. going to the park
2. going on long drives
3. backyard barbecues/parties
4. swimming in the pool
5. gardening
6. just chilling on the porch or balcony
As always I will take the first go at the question. My order is 1, 3, 6, 2, 5, 4. Swimming is my least favorite because I do not swim–ever, at-all.
.
It is fun asking the questions and finally making it a feature. Thanks for ordering the list and making my blog part of the summer fun as well.

My Thanks and Apologies (weekend update as well)
By Evil-E | July 13, 2008
It has been a crazy couple of weeks for me and probably lots of others as well. The fourth was last weekend, I lost my internet connection for a bit (due to Microsoft v my firewall), work is getting busier for me, and this weekend has been the Evil Birthday observed weekend. I swear I will be back and checking out everybody’s blogs regularly, it has just been busy and unfortunately real world comes first.
.
It has been a great, quiet birthday weekend. I did not want anything too elaborate, just a relaxing and fun weekend. Thanks to my girlfriend and my family, it was. I got everything I like for my birthday this year….food, junk food, money, internet gift cards, and lots of rest.
.
Friday started great. I walked into Renee’s place and looked on the kitchen table only to be greeted by this great sight…..

She made me the coolest cake. It had Reese’s eyes, a sprinkle mouth, and a blueberry nose. The cake itself was very good too. My girlie Renee also bought me a really nice picture frame that I basically picked out. She bought me an Amazon.com gift card (metal!!), several very cute cards with various messages written in them by her, and a gift certificate to my favorite Mexican place. She also took me out to dinner Friday and Saturday night and just made my weekend great.
.
Sunday, it was the folks’ house for my birthday dinner (burgers off the grill) and more giftage!!….

As you can see they know me really well…I see lots of monkeys…as well as iTunes and some nice cash (the right size and color). No one has been able to find a midget card yet….

Here is me (at 37) and my sweet young thing Renee. I don’t think I look too bad for an old cradle robbing codger!!
It is fun having a birthday once a year. Christmas in July rules. It is also fun having a wonderful family. It is also fun having the greatest girl on the planet!! Thanks for checking in.
OH YEAH…..WAIT…….

It would not be a holiday without all these guys!!!!!

Saturday Scavenger Shots #42 (bottle)
By Evil-E | July 12, 2008
Thanks to new guy Greg, our word this week is “bottle”. I have taken a couple of new photos for the word and will rerun some oldies for it as well. So without further do-do, lets uncork this thing and open up a nice cold bottle of this post.

The bus stop, once again, gives me a photo for the week. A discarded bottle.
How about the remains of a bottle…the bus stop again
How about some bottles of good booze?
Some bars have impressive displays of bottles..what’ll you have?
It is always fun doing the “hunt”. Thanks for playing and not throwing any bottles at the talent.

Very Special Species Post
By Evil-E | July 11, 2008
I have found another species due to the bus. This one is a little different than the previous ones. This guy is at the bus stop in the afternoon everyday along with me. He does not do anything weird…he just waits for the bus. Why is he a species and who is he?
.
“Mr Everything, Rich White Guy”: So, as I said, this guy is at the stop all the time. He seems to be a magnet for people. I always notice that people waiting for the bus and just walking down the street stop and ask this guy for stuff. I have heard people ask for cigarettes (he smokes), for money, to use his cell phone, a pen, and even for something as weird as batteries. This guy must be a general store for street freaks. While he is white and appears to have a job; I don’t think he is rich by any means, but still people ask him for stuff almost everyday. Mr Everything, Rich White Guy is, of course, me.
I am in disbelief that people can be such beggars. Cigarettes, I can understand asking one off a stranger. Money, maybe. But to use my cell phone? No way is some freaky stranger going to put his mouth and ears near something I use all the time. Batteries, that is just weird and out of left field. In almost all cases I come up with a form of “no”. Altruism is not my strongest area, nor do I want it to be.
.
It is fun making myself into a species. Thanks for not trying to bum stuff off of me.
